From generous donations, Friends of Lucky Paws has been able to provide assistance to Lucky Paws, covering many of their needs through the years. Since our founding as Save Lucky Paws, we have provided rent, upgraded the locks on the dog rooms (2011), upgraded the dog rooms themselves (2012), assisted with major remodeling inside Lucky Paws (2012), replaced the clothes washers (2013), re-floored the cattery (2014), provided a heavy-duty clothes dryer (2015) and another washer (2017). Our biggest purchase yet was a new transport van, purchased in 2017 and available in 2018. In 2019, we assisted with lots of small costs (which add up!) including maintenance and repairs, enrichment toys, cat beds, and special foods. We also fixed the janitor closet door, repainting it with chalk paint for message posting, and upgraded the interior and signage of the transport van. With the reopening of Lucky Paws in 2023, we will be able to help out once again.
